Yoga Community Gathers to Kick Off Summer: Wanderers of All Kinds Coming together at Yoga Mala, June 21

Phoebe Miller

Ancient Traditions Healing is a mind, body, NOMad, a collective global community of yogis, wellness practitioners, travelers and “wanderers of all kinds,” is joining several yoga studios on the Hudson River to host its second annual Yoga Mala, from 6 to 8 p.m., June 21, at Scenic Hudson’s Long Dock Park in Beacon.

“This will be our second annual Yoga Mala event bringing together over 13 studios to unite our yoga community,” says nOMad founder Phoebe Miller. “It will be our kickoff to the summer series that will feature a different area studio each week for 11 weeks.” nOMad’s stated mission is to introduce people to new experiences on and off the mat so they can live fuller lives with more joy, gratitude, confidence and connection. It does this by offering community events in the Hudson Valley, yoga retreats around the world, and an online studio where students can connect with teachers from the Hudson Valley and around the globe.

Participants in the Yoga Mala will celebrate summer by practicing 108 sun salutations together. All participants should preregister and bring a yoga mat.

A $20 donation is requested for general admission to the event and one free class ticket to any participating yoga studio. A $10 donation is requested for general admission. For more info, visit nOMadAlwaysAtOM.com.
