Healthy Eating Workshop in Poughkeepsie: Creating a Lifelong Healthy Relationship with Food

On June 14, the Women’s Professional Network (WPN) will host a workshop in Poughkeepsie designed to help individuals and families create a lifelong healthy relationship with food. “The workshop will focus on nutrition for both adults and children,” says WPN Director Lea Bishop. “Participants will learn how to eat healthy on a budget and gain some tips about anti-aging nutrition.”

The discussion will be moderated by Wanda Jeanty, M.D., a nutrition and wellness coach, and will include four panelists: Virginia Cambalik, a registered dietitian with outpatient nutrition services at Vassar Brothers Hospital; Nancy Case, an outpatient dietitian from Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital; Lynne Kavulich, a chiropractor specializing in anti-aging medicine and nutrition from American Wellness Care; and Ellie Limpert, education manager with Poughkeepsie Farm Project. Light refreshments will be served.

The workshop will take place June 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, 75 N. Water St., Poughkeepsie, NY. Admission is $6.27.
