Dutchess Yoga in Wappingers Falls is hosting a Community Happening Day— a day of yoga, meditation, pie, coffee and tea—November 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. “The purpose of this event is to meet, greet and celebrate,” says founder and owner Sandy Sooknanan. “Selflessly bringing our community together is very important to sustain kindness, love and generosity. The event will begin with yoga and meditation, followed by short discussions,” Sooknanan says. Those attending are asked to bring a favorite pie for sharing.
“Our yoga studio has donated year after year to many of these causes and events, and the results were always positive,” she says. “With the holidays right around the corner, and the stress that goes with these holiday gatherings, we understand that the mind needs to relax and de-stress. So we’re inviting people to come and unwind with complete strangers who are nonjudgmental and filled with compassion.”
Dutchess yoga is located in the Lynn Building, 1575 Rte. 376 (at Angels Hill Road), Wappingers Falls. RSVP by text (845.902.8206) or email ([email protected]) with flavor of pie being brought. For more info, visit DutchessYoga.com.
