Chappaqua Event Benefits Crossover Yoga Project: Helping Your Community

Elisha Fernandes Simpson, founder of CYP

The Chappaqua location of Talbots, the women’s clothing and apparel store, will host a charity shopping event the evening of November 8 to benefit the Crossover Yoga Project. From 5 to 8 p.m., Talbots will donate 10 percent of pre-tax sales on all merchandise purchases to the CYP, a Westchester County-based nonprofit whose mission is to empower young, at-risk women to overcome trauma and move toward positive change through yoga and art.

CYP serves juvenile detention centers throughout Westchester County. It also offers trauma-informed yoga teacher training, which is open to all professionals to help them integrate empowering tools into their practices, as well as Teen Yoga, Meditation and Empowerment sessions that integrate Mindful-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T), discussion and mindfulness.

Visit CYP on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and at CrossOverYogaProject.org.

Crossover Yoga Project is located at 420 S. Riverside Ave., Box #223, Croton on Hudson. For more info, contact CYP at [email protected] or 914.319.4010.
