Modern Day Millionaire Event This Month: Prosperity Teaching

Bob Proctor

For millions of people, Bob Proctor’s name is synonymous with “success.” Proctor is known as America’s greatest prosperity teacher. Linked to the forefathers of the personal development movement dating back to 1908, his law of attraction-style philosophy has historic roots.

Proctor says it all started when Andrew Carnegie, one of the first billionaires, challenged author and impresario Napoleon Hill to interview the world’s most successful people in order to create a simple formula that anyone could follow to achieve success and become wealthy. Hill accepted the challenge, and in 1937 he published the original version of Think and Grow Rich. Then in 1960, author and radio personality Earl Nightingale cofounded the Nightingale-Conant Corporation, which produced personal development material recorded on vinyl records. Nightingale studied Think and Grow Rich and ultimately won a literary prize from the Napoleon Hill Foundation in 1989.

Proctor’s origins are simple: he came from a life of want and limitation. A high school dropout in 1960, he had a résumé of dead-end jobs and a future that was clouded with debt. When he was at his lowest point, someone offered him a copy of Think and Grow Rich, which planted a seed of hope in Proctor’s mind.

In just months, and with further support from the works of Nightingale, his life turned on a dime. Within a year, he was making more than $100,000, and soon his income topped the $1 million mark. He would later go on to work in Nightingale’s company before setting out on his own.

From these auspicious beginnings, Proctor has developed a system that teaches people how to understand their hidden abilities in order to do more, be more and have more in every area of life. For 56 years, he has focused his entire agenda on helping people achieve lives of prosperity, rewarding relationships and spiritual awareness. As one of the world’s most highly regarded speakers on prosperity, he is internationally known for his inspirational and motivational style.

Proctor now travels the globe, teaching thousands how to believe in and act upon the greatness of their own minds. “We don’t just teach others how to think their way into the results they want, we live it in our own lives,” he says. “We think and dream big—stretching ourselves to limits beyond what we think we are capable of.”

Proctor recommends adhering to a daily checklist that includes being grateful, maintaining a positive attitude, working in a spirit of creativity and harmony, being a great example, and doing a better job today than yesterday.
