Saw Mill Club Adds Ohra Yoga Teacher Training: Sessions begin in March.

Michelle Briks

With 50 class options each week, Saw Mill Club (SMC) in Mount Kisco is not new to the yoga world. But recently it has taken its yoga program to the next level by adding a 300-hour Ohra Yoga advanced teacher training. Sessions begin in March.

“The 300-hour program finally makes learning in Westchester more convenient,” says Michelle Briks, SMC yoga programs coordinator. “This advanced training is designed to elevate your teaching skills, drawing on specialty instructors from New York City, Princeton, New Jersey, and of course our own backyard. Teachers will learn to improve their presentation, deepen their anatomical knowledge and expand their sequencing toolbox.”

SMC’s Ohra Yoga Teacher Training program offers both a Yoga Alliance-accredited E-RYT 200-hour program for those wishing to become an instructor, and the E-RYT 300-hour advanced teacher training “for those with their E-RYT 200 who are looking to stand out from the crowd.” The SMC Ohra trainings are led by Briks, who has her 500 E-RYT and is also an Ayurvedic specialist and accredited nutritionist. “Our proven training methods—we’ve graduated more than 50 students in the last three years—are anatomically informed and intelligently sequenced,” she says. “Our graduates are represented in many yoga studios in Westchester, Connecticut and New York City.”

Saw Mill Club is located at 77 Kensico Dr., Mt. Kisco. For teacher training information, email [email protected]. For membership information or to arrange for a free trial, call 914.241.0797 or email [email protected].
