Six-Week Mindfulness and Meditation Boot Camp for Women: Participants will learn how to meditate, in addition to discussing mindfulness concepts.

Jodi Baretz

Jodi Baretz, a licensed clinical social worker and certified holistic health counselor, is running a mindfulness and meditation “boot camp” for busy women who want to reduce stress, eat healthy and live with more joy, peace and fulfillment. It will run for six consecutive Mondays, February 27 through April 3, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., at the Center for Health and Healing in Mount Kisco.

“Participants will learn how to meditate, in addition to discussing mindfulness concepts that change their perspective and their life,” she says. “In a small, supportive, fun group, they will learn the best of mindfulness in a short amount of time.”

In addition to leading workshops, Baretz often speaks on the subject of mindfulness and contributes to Inside Chappaqua and Inside Armonk. She’s also a psychotherapist and health coach with a private practice of busy moms. She sees clients individually, in groups and via Skype.

“Nowadays, we are so plugged into technology, overscheduled, and struggling with trying to be perfect that we are not truly enjoying our lives. It’s exhausting,” she says. “Learning simple tools and techniques to use throughout your day, along with ways to cope with your stress, is crucial to living a mindful, valued, authentic life.”
