On March 26, Pastor Hans B. Hallundbaek of the Chapel at Croton Falls will host The Sacredness of the Earth, an interfaith gathering addressing sustainability and climate change. Guests will include Doug DeCandia, food growing project coordinator at the Food Bank for Westchester.

The event is part of the Chapel’s monthly Interfaith Sundays series, designed to offer a wide range of heart-centered religious perspectives in an interactive service that includes prayer, music and spirited discussion.

The next Interfaith Sunday gathering, on April 23, will focus on Movement, Healing and Spirituality, featuring Melanie Gambino, a minister of healing and Continuum Movement teacher who is on faculty at SUNY Purchase and the Harvey School. A special Interfaith Sunday on May 14 will celebrate Mother’s Day with the Chapel’s annual Symphony of Peace Prayers, with guest author Dr. Jude Currivan, original music by Sita’s Light and a flag ceremony honoring all the nations of the world.

The Chapel has hosted an array of spiritual teachers, international speakers and local thought leaders from diverse traditions, as well as gifted musical guests. To be considered as a speaker or musician, contact Rev. Deborah Moldow, interfaith minister, at [email protected].

The Chapel at Croton Falls, located at 609 Route 22, holds contemporary Christian services every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Visitors are welcome. For more info, visit ChapelAtCrotonFalls.org.
