Eat Well, Be Well at Brewster Farmers’ Market: Open Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m

The year-round Hudson Valley Regional Farmers’ Market (HVRFM) in Brewster, open Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is now offering fresh meats and Ronnybrook cheese and dairy products from General Cochran Farms. The market’s newest vendor, a family-owned business based in Wassaic, practices conscientious farming with the goal of providing affordable, nutritious organic foods to local communities at a convenient location.

Visitors the HVRFM can sip hot organic coffee while browsing the market’s myriad offerings, including fresh veggies from DoReMe; baked goods from Bootleg Breads; and specialty items like jam and goat’s milk soap. Ace Endico’s Market Table has recently joined the market to provide fresh-cured meats and cheeses and an array of local products, such as jewelry from the Grand Strand, soaps from Smellz Good, spirits from KAS Honey Liquors, fresh pickles and pickled products, and prepared food and goods from Steve’s Country Kitchen.

The market has also added the Market Café, offering fresh, locally made croissants, donuts and other pastries in addition to a wide variety of baked goods from Bella’s, including gluten-free and sugar-free items. “Bella’s creates only the finest all-natural, authentic Italian biscotti, hand-poured butter toffee and old-fashioned cookies and brownies,” says Storm Tentler, HVRFM’s marketing and community relations coordinator. Nick The Knife, who provides knife-sharpening services, is a weekly presence at the market, as are kids’ crafts and free samples. The market is located at 15 Mt. Ebo Rd. S., Brewster, NY.
