Natural Awakenings Westchester / Putnam / Dutchess New York

Interactive Workshop Focuses on Reversing Memory Loss: April 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dr. Cory Lenherr

Many of us worry that our memory isn’t as sharp as it used to be—we tend to walk into a room and forget why, or we’re constantly searching for things—or else we worry about a loved one with dementia. Sharp Again Naturally, an educational nonprofit based in Westchester, has identified 10 causes of memory loss and dementia and ways to address them. It will present this information at a workshop April 2 at Hyatt House in White Plains.

The workshop is being taught by Dr. Cory Lenherr, a functional medicine physician, and health coaches Debbie Drelich, Lisa Feiner and Myra Oney. Lenherr trained with Dr. Dale Bredesen, who is internationally recognized for his groundbreaking research using a multi-therapeutic approach for reversing mild to moderate cognitive decline. Lenherr will help workshop participants consider what might be affecting their memory, address risk factors, provide guidance on speaking to doctors, and supply a list of recommended tests.

Important nutrition guidelines to support brain health will be presented along with a food demonstration. Other workshop features include stress reduction techniques and a Q&A to allow participants to ask questions in a supportive environment.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (lunch included), followed by a post-workshop intensive from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for health coaches, nutritionists and other professionals.

Enrollment is limited. For more info or to register, go to SharpAgain.org/april2017.
