Spring is the season of renewal, and Ganesha Spa in Peekskill is celebrating by unveiling several state-of-theart procedures for renewing the skin, says Irina Ionina, the spa’s owner and a skincare instructor at New York School of Esthetics.

“While we have many holistic treatments for the body, you can also look here to rejuvenate your skin with new, innovative procedures,” she says. “We offer our clients very effective exfoliating treatments, such as a fusion peel or dermaplaning for dark hyperpigmentation spots and to improve the texture of the skin. Or to improve fine lines and wrinkles, there is a new procedure called micro-needling, where microscopic needles induce the stimulation of collagen and firmness.”

Another technique that’s very popular at the spa is microblading, which Ionina calls “a form of a permanent 3-D eyebrow embroidery.” It involves the reconstruction or addition of missing hairs, applied stroke by stroke. “We try to stay in tune with the ever-changing skincare industry to make our clients happy,” she says.
