Dr. Dorette Lewis-Senior
Dr. Dorette Lewis-Senior is expanding her practice to include medical thermography and free weekly health talks in her Bronx office. These talks, which are open to the community, are intended to educate people about the safe and effective use of natural modalities, including the use of dietary supplements when taking prescription medications.
Lewis-Senior has been in practice for more than fourteen years as a naturopathic doctor but was also recently certified as a wellness counselor by New York State and as a thermographer by Med-Hot Thermal Imaging. She is the cofounder of Drs2Health along with her husband, Dr. Derek Senior, a naturopathic doctor and nutritionist.
Lewis-Senior says that as a native of Jamaica, she personally experienced the successes of natural healing when she was given herbs as a child.
“My passion is to promote healthy lifestyle practices and wellness in the Bronx and neighboring communities,” she says. “I developed my passion for healing while pursuing my nursing degree. I wanted to be able to address the total person rather than just their symptoms. Today I extend my passion to heal individuals and communities and believe that through proper screenings, teaching and careful application of natural modalities, I can help save lives.”
Dorette also hosts the Women’s Wellness Hour, airing on 107.7 FM and online at CJGospelHour1.com, Tuesdays from 8 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 6 to 7 p.m.
Dr. Dorette Lewis-Senior has office at 3511 Barnes Ave, #1A, Bronx, NY, and 5520 Park Ave., Yale New Haven Health Integrative Medicine Center (I-600), Trumbull, CT.
