Quest Yoga Arts has a growing community of new and expectant mothers who are tapping into the studio’s classes and workshops specifically designed to support women and families during pregnancy, childbirth and beyond, as well as its therapeutic, prenatal and deep-tissue massage services for after-class relaxation.
“Whether you are pregnant with your first or third baby, Prenatal Yoga is a fantastic way to prepare the mind and body for labor and childbirth,” says studio owner Laura Jensen. “The classes focus on strengthening and opening the hips, cultivating breath awareness and building mind-body unity.”
A workshop to support and empower expectant mothers and their partners, Yoga for Childbirth teaches simple yet effective tools for moving through labor with greater ease and confidence, while the studio’s Childbirth Education Series offers couples an opportunity to learn about the signs and stages of labor in a safe and nurturing environment.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of what to expect during labor and how to accommodate for the physical and emotional transitions of childbirth,” Jensen says. “Mothers and partners will gather tools to create a confident and empowered birth experience, whether they’re delivering at home, at a birthing center or in the hospital.”
New mothers can join Quest Yoga Arts’ Postnatal Mommy & Me Yoga community. This weekly class is designed to help new mothers regain strength and energy as well as nurture infant development through infant massage and gentle movement.
Quest Yoga Arts is located at 11 E. Main St., 2nd Fl., Mt. Kisco. To register for a class or for more info, visit QuestYogaArts.com or call 914.241.9642.
