Natural Awakenings Westchester / Putnam / Dutchess New York

Katonah Study Group Explores Integrative Medicine: For anyone who wants to learn this more comprehensive approach to wellness.

There has been a growing interest in integrative medicine as more Americans seek natural ways to get and stay healthy. Since 1999, the Katonah Study Group has hosted regular events, designed to be both entertaining and informative, for anyone who wants to learn this more comprehensive approach to wellness.

Upcoming programs are The Erotic in Everyday Life, to be held October 11, at 6:30 p.m., and Stay Healthy and Bolster Your Immunity with Homeopathy, to be held November 29 at 6:30 p.m. Other topics this coming year will include Dieting Effectively, Kabbalistic Healing, and an Integrative Approach to Spring Cleaning. All programs are held at Northern Westchester Hospital.

“Western medicine has made advances that boggle the mind, yet wellness often requires a more wide-reaching approach,” says Mark Robert Banschick, M.D., who cofounded the Katonah Study Group along with Ericksonian hypnotherapist Cindy Blum. “The group is devoted to bringing the best of the East and the West together as one integrated whole. Each month we present a new program designed to enlarge the way professionals and the public view health and healing. Our programs are lively, fun and often experiential. We welcome new members, both to listen in and to expand the conversation.”

Program admission is free to members or $20 for nonmembers. Annual membership costs $75 and is open to professionals and the public.
