Dr. Kurt Beil, a naturopathic doctor and licensed acupuncturist and the owner of Hudson Valley Natural Health in Mount Kisco and Danbury, Connecticut, has added a third practice location in Cold Spring. Beginning in May, he will be seeing patients every Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Cold Spring Healing Arts, located at 6 Marion Avenue, one block off Main Street.

Beil has practiced naturopathic and Chinese medicine for more than 10 years. His eight years of postgraduate education included four years of training similar to traditional “allopathic” medical school. He says he enjoys helping people resolve their chronic symptoms by identifying and addressing the underlying cause of illness so that they can reach a place of lasting, more complete health. By expanding his practice to Cold Spring, he says, he’ll be able to provide his natural, holistic health care services to residents of Putnam, Orange and lower Dutchess Counties.

“Every person is an individual, and so I approach their health from that perspective,” he says. “I look at people from a perspective of health promotion and disease resolution, rather than pathological suppression and control. If someone can be given the resources to support their own natural healing ability while removing any factors that are in the way, like toxins or lingering infections or unresolved trauma, they frequently will get better.”

He will often address a health issue with botanical or homeopathic medicines, focused nutritional supplements, or acupuncture or biofeedback. For patients who visit his Danbury office, conventional and functional lab testing is available to get a clearer picture of what is happening in the body.
