Joy Matalon, a licensed massage therapist and craniosacral therapist, will teach Healing with Craniosacral Therapy on September 15, from 2 to 4 p.m., at The Center for Health and Healing, located at 4 Smith Avenue, second floor, in Mount Kisco. The cost is $40.

“Craniosacral therapy brings healing to people with acute and chronic pain by balancing the autonomic nervous system,” Matalon says. “It helps address anxiety, depression, headaches, insomnia, TMJ and many other conditions. In this workshop, students will gain an understanding of how CST heals. They will have an opportunity to practice a body-centered meditation and experience their own craniosacral rhythm. They will also be given self-care exercises.”

Matalon is certified in CST through The Great River Craniosacral Therapy Institute. She has been a New York State-licensed massage therapist for more than 30 years.
