Three-Part Winter Transitioning Workshop in Ossining: December 8, 15 and 22

Lauren Awerdick

Lauren Awerdick, owner and lead practitioner at Willow Wisp Wellness, in Ossining, will teach a three-part December workshop to help people transition to the calmer, more introspective winter season.

“For three consecutive Saturdays—December 8, 15 and 22—we will come together in circle to prep and prime for the deep inquisition and slowdown that the winter season brings with it,” Awerdick says. “It’s the season where we are gifted the opportunity to move inward and explore our depths, release and surrender what has served its purpose, and look at what we’re preparing to incubate for the coming of spring and the blooming and birthing energies that come with that season.”

The first session will be for grounding, releasing and setting intentions. The second will be more creative and playful, as participants make sacred soaks, teas, scents, essences and candles “for self-care and lighting the path through winter.” The third will be “the culminating day,” when participants build on the work of the previous two sessions and walk a labyrinth with the changing of the season.

Registration is required, as space is limited. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Dominican Sisters of Hope, in Ossining.

Cost: $225. Payment plans and partial scholarships available. Location: 109 Croton Ave., Ste. 205, Ossining, NY. For info, call 914.534.1294 or visit WillowWispWellness.com.
