Fable: From Farm to Table, in Ossining, will hold its third annual Fall Farm Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 20. Organized by the farm’s owner, Tom Deacon, the free event attracted more than 750 guests last year. Donations from guests help support the farm’s ongoing organic and sustainable practices.

Festival goers will be able to shop among dozens of local small business vendors, feed the farm’s new flock of more than 600 chickens, pet the farm’s baby goats, take part in family-friendly activities, and buy food and drinks from local food trucks, bakeries and visiting chefs, Deacon says. At last year’s festival, he says, guests were pleased with the wide variety of local food vendors, which included The Hudson Oven, Brother’s Fish’n Chips and The Westchester Burger Truck.

“I started this festival to help bring together the community to meet some amazing local small businesses that I met at farmer’s markets,” he says. “Farm Fest is a fun, kid-friendly, wonderful time that also supports many family-run small businesses.”
