Laura Giacovas is celebrating the eighth anniversary of her Briarcliff Manor healing center, Soulauras, and her seventh year practicing with fellow licensed massage therapist (LMT) Sundar Diaz. Soulauras offers a wide menu of bodywork techniques as well as online booking.

A nationally certified and New York State licensed LMT, Giacovas has provided more than 10,000 hours of hands-on service in eight years of practice. She is certified in ear seed auriculotherapy, Tui Na and acupressure bodywork, Acu/Kineseo Taping and ACE Massage Cupping and MediCupping and is a fifth dan master instructor in tae kwon do at United Martial Arts Centers. She specializes in deep-tissue bodywork and therapeutic massage modalities, including dynamic cupping, deep-tissue acupressure, connective tissue work and trigger point myofascial pain release. 

“I’m passionate about offering services to niche populations, including athletes, seniors and people with PTSD or special needs,” she says. “All my sessions reflect my knowledge, skill and intuitive awareness of and respect for the healing process. They are a culmination of over 30 years of dedicated commitment to establishing trust within interpersonal relationships through which healing and wellness can be realized.”

A third-generation healer in his native culture, Diaz specializes in deep-tissue and Swedish massage, reflexology and energy healing. “Sundar infuses his sessions with an innate understanding of the body in relation to our experience and interface with the world in which we live,” Giacovas says.
