Mark and Jeanne Frieder, owners of CBD Source NY, have occupied a niche in the hemp industry since 2015. They supply small businesses throughout the Hudson Valley with the products and resources to enter the CBD retail market. “We have no minimum-size order,” Mark says. “If I do my job right, the retailer will sell more and more on their own.”

The Frieders are dedicated to educating the public about hemp and CBD, and to promoting and selling CBD products derived from New York State-grown hemp. They also supply small makers of CBD products with high quality, state-grown raw hemp materials. 

“Our mission is to curate clean, pure CBD products for the consumer,” Jeanne says. “So we visit and work with farms and processors based in New York. We’ve found beautiful farms that use sustainable, organic and biodynamic growing techniques.”  

New York has been supportive of its hemp farmers, Mark says, and small farms that were struggling are getting back on their feet with this high-demand crop. He calls it a “win-win for New Yorkers,” as consumers have access to clean, high-quality hemp products and local, rural communities are enjoying the economic benefits.

The Frieders represent several curated CBD product makers and manufacturers.
