Entrance Abor and Dream Catcher by Michael Gulbrandsen

Reflections of Nature, owned by naturalist and landscape artist Michael Gulbrandsen, blazes hiking trails from customers’ home throughout their property. We asked Gulbrandsen to describe the unique services he offers:
We can create a natural trail through the forest that minimizes the environmental impact but maximizes the connection to nature.

We create stone-and-timber steps so you can climb up to high places from which you can look down and survey your world.

We create spaces along the trail to raise a person’s curiosity, like magical doorways in trees or tunnels through mountain laurels.

We make benches from milled logs and branches.

We bring our trails adjacent to large fallen trees, so travelers can stop along the way, where there’s a natural focus for talk and dreams and thought.

We built bridges from downed trees to give you access to remote parts of your property.

We place activity nodes along the trail, such as waterfalls, fire pits or meditation spots.

We create entrance arbors and portals from dead branches and grapevines.

We create Zen views of rock masses and waterfalls to build anticipation for arrival.

“Upon completion, you can walk the trail and become one with nature by listening to its whispers, seeing the littlest details and feeling the magic of your property,” he says.
