The Life Energy Arts Gallery will honor Dr. John Diamond, a long-time holistic physician known for his therapeutic use of the arts, at a new exhibit, “The Power of the Stillpoint: Original Paintings by John Diamond, M.D.,” from 5 to 7 p.m., on August 6.

The event offers the chance to celebrate what would have been Diamond’s 88th birthday in August, and will feature selected original stillpoint paintings, which are rarely available for sale, as well as his original photography.

 “He lived a life using creativity to enhance his own and other’s well-being, and his art reflects it,” says Karla Booth, director of the Life Energy Arts Gallery.

 A big part of Diamond’s mission was helping people understand the holistic benefits of the creative arts, with the goal of enhancing not just their own lives, but also their loved ones, so both the community and the individual can heal.

 An avid photographer, painter, and writer, he also played the drums with his beloved band, the Diamond Jubilators, says Booth.

Diamond led a distinguished career lecturing around the globe, working alongside people from diverse backgrounds to cultivate and share their creativity.

The event will also feature live music and refreshments.
