Sign Up Now for Winter CSA with Fishkill Farms

Fishkill Farms is now signing up shareholders for its Winter CSA, which runs for 16 weeks starting December 5, 2015, and ending March 26.  Shares will be available for pickup at their Farm Store in Hopewell Junction, NY, on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, is a way for consumers to buy local, seasonal produce directly from a farmer in their community. CSA shareholders make an upfront payment to support the farm, in return reaping a weekly supply of fruits, vegetables and other farm products.

Contents of the shares vary from week to week, depending on availability, but Fishkill Farms’ winter fruit and veggie shares generally include a combination of fresh and storage produce (e.g., apples, cider, beets, cabbage, onions, potatoes); frozen produce (e.g., peaches, tomatoes, corn, peppers); and jarred goods (e.g., jams, chutneys, tomato sauce). Fishkill Farms also sells egg, milk and cheese shares.

The farm and store are located at 9 Fishkill Farm Rd., Hopewell Junction. For information, call 845.897.4377, email [email protected] or visit FishkillFarms.com.
