Lila Lolling and Cara Sax
Cara Sax, owner of Elevate Yoga Studios, in Cortlandt, is teaming up with yoga therapist and teacher Lila Lolling to offer a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga teacher training, which will run from January through June 2020. The training is also open to anyone interested in deepening their knowledge and understanding of the holistic practices of yoga, Sax says.
“Today’s busy society has many people seeking refuge from the stresses and strains of daily life,” she says. “As the science and medical community continue to affirm, classical yoga offers numerous benefits to counteract this dilemma. Yoga provides insights into living a balanced and vibrant life. If you’re seeking to evolve and deepen into your best self and best life, this is a rare opportunity to do so with world-class teachers.”
An ERYT 200, Sax has taught vinyasa yoga and led retreats and workshops locally for 20 years, and has worked in health and healing for more than 30 years. “My bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology gave me a strong foundation and an excellent understanding of the physical body when I developed the Elevate Yoga Warm Vinyasa Flow Training,” she says.
An ERYT500, Lolling has 20 years’ experience teaching yoga philosophy, meditation and spirituality around the globe. She has been featured in Yoga Journal and on Yoga International and ABC News, and presented at the United Nations International Day of Yoga in 2018.
