Bedford 2030 and Bedford Playhouse will present a virtual screening of The Story of Plastic: Owning the Solutions, on March 8 from 7 to 8 p.m. The screening will be followed by a Zoom discussion with a panel of experts.

The film highlights the need for systemic change to address our most pressing climate issues, including the ubiquity of plastics. Registration is free and provides access to both the screening and the discussion.

Panelists will include New York State Senator Shelley Mayer; Sheila Morovati, founder of HabitsOfWaste.org; and Rachana Shah, Zero Waste consultant and a representative for BeyondPlastics.org. The discussion will be moderated by Sarah Douglis, strategic advisor, founder of SolTide Consulting and vice president of the board of Bedford 2030.

Bedford 2030 addresses the urgent issue of climate change through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and preservation of natural resources.
