Honor Your Spirit at a Winter Retreat

The Center at Mariandale, in Ossining, a sponsored ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, invites individuals to treat themselves this winter to one of the many upcoming retreats for quiet, spiritual nourishment and wisdom.

A virtual retreat, The Self and the Social Fabric: Writing Stories to Heal a Divided Age ($150) will be held from February 24 through 26. Memoirists, citizen journalists, family historians and group storytellers will learn techniques to tell compelling narratives of collective experiences.

Sanctuary, an LGBTQ Spirituality Weekend Retreat, will be held from February 24 through 26 for people from all faith backgrounds to join together in spiritual community for a weekend of individual and grouped reflection and conversation, plus downtime for personal rest and recreation in the peacefulness of the retreat center, surrounded by 61 acres of nature along the Hudson River ($150).

Look for more retreats and programs centering around numerous topics including spirituality; contemplative practices; social and environmental justice; interfaith dialogue; the arts; and wellness of body, mind and spirit. A full calendar can be found online.
