Fable Farm is now raising an additional 350 baby chicks for egg-laying that will provide the community with even more fresh, delicious, pasture-raised eggs. The farm has launched a “Chickstarter” campaign to help raise funds for the baby chicks’ care while they are getting to egg-laying age, which is at about four to six months old.

Funds will go toward food, lumber, labor, heat and straw. Donors may also “adopt” a chick, come visit the farm, and even name one. Owner Tom Deacon says, “Given that the farm sells out of eggs weekly, this will be a great way to provide more fresh eggs to the community.”
