Yoga in the Adirondacks is a yoga farm shala nestled in the Adirondack State Park. We are privately owned with over 300 acres, nurturing miniature donkeys, sheep, ducks and chickens. Our renovated 1905 farmhouse creates safe space for our seasonal yoga retreats, workshops and events. Our farmhouse country store stocks Young Living Essential Oils, divine maple syrup and our farms’ organic chicken and duck eggs. The yoga studio schedule can be found on our website. Call for a tour. Also, gift certificates are available.

What drew you to this profession?

I started a self-taught yoga practice when I was 13 years old. Through intuition, trust in the process, and my digestive fire, I feel in tune to where I am. Through clarity, peace and an open heart, I find myself as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist candidate enjoying the journey through the grace of divine.

How does your work differ from that of others in your profession?

My work is authentically me, using all the tools in my toolbox and always recognizing I am a bridge to support others. A yoga practice is a practice of the self, though the self, to the self. Yoga is becoming the observer of the self.

What should someone expect from working with you?

My work with someone creates itself through the connection of compassion, understanding and meeting people where they are with acceptance, gratitude and openness to the outcome. Working together, we create a bridge for wholeness; a connection with wellness through our four-chambered heart—strong, clear, open and full.

What changes do you have planned for 2023?

We are in the process of preparing our Art Studio for our new programn YogArt, and continue to expand our hiking trails. Our gardens will become grander to provide a more expansive farm-to-table menu for our retreats. Our community will continue to expand with yoga available for children. I am so grateful to be teaching yoga in the Johnsburg Central School District to the third-graders on a weekly basis. I am also in study for yoga therapy and look forward to the practicum this year.
