The Omega Institute, in Rhinebeck, will host Paint Your Inner Sacred Feminine Self-Portrait—a retreat from May 19 through 24, 2024, with internationally known artist, teacher and author Jo Jayson. With her help, attendees will discover the divine feminine within and learn to project this reflection onto the canvas. No painting experience is needed and participants can stay on or off campus.

“In this weeklong retreat, I will guide you to create a painting that expresses your own inner sacred feminine—the aspect of yourself that you see mirrored back to you in these sacred feminine archetypes. In a supportive and creative environment, you will learn to express the divine feminine connection within yourself in an intuitively intimate, soulful, self-portrait painting,” says Jayson, who has been painting and teaching about the sacred feminine for 15 years and is the author of the award-winning book Self-Love Through the Sacred Feminine. 

Participants will engage in meditation, journaling and intuitive and creative exercises to access this connection and learn its unique lessons for each of them, explains Jayson. Using mixed media, collage and artistic instruction, they will create an intuitive and healing self-portrait and will return home with a deeper understanding of and connection to their own sacred feminine.
