Moss and Moonlight, in Hopewell Junction, is hosting a Beltane Women’s Day Retreat from 1 to 8 p.m., May 4, 2024, which will be an opportunity for attendees to connect to nature, gain knowledge of ancient practices, experience community and celebrate Beltane, the Gaelic May Day festival, marking the beginning of summer. Then, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., June 29, 2024, they will host a sound training workshop titled Intro to Sacred Instruments: Gong and Singing Bowl Exploration with Reverb Yogi.
“For Beltane, we will retreat on this day within a circle of women to connect to each other and to nature and to honor our own inner light,” shares owner Samantha Stengle, referring to the May event. “This intimate gathering includes four workshops, and there are limited spots for add-on tarot readings.”
The sound training workshop, which will be led by Vinny Colandrea, of Reverb Yogi, “is for anyone looking to elevate their understanding of sound as a powerful tool for wellness while exploring hands-on time playing gongs, Himalayan singing bowls and crystal bowls,” explains Stengle.
“Sound has tremendous potential to promote relaxation and healing, and so developing our own self-practice is needed more now than ever,” she adds. “Whether you’re a yoga teacher looking to deepen your offerings, a music lover or someone interested in the healing arts, this workshop offers an accessible blend of theory and practical application.”
