20th Annual Feed Me Fresh Fundraiser

The Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC) will host its 20th annual Feed Me Fresh: An Edible Evening fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. on September 21, 2024, at Ivanna Farms, in Mount Kisco. This event supports MKCCC’s scholarship fund, ensuring that children from diverse backgrounds have access to high-quality child care and early education.

For more than 50 years, MKCCC has served working families in Westchester, currently caring for 145 children ranging from 3 months to 11 years old through full-day care, as well as before-school, after-school and summer camp programs. The center’s award-winning curriculum includes the Feed Me Fresh program, a seed-to-table nutrition initiative featuring gardens outside each classroom.

The fundraiser will feature local restaurants donating their culinary talents, with all proceeds benefiting the scholarship fund. This year’s event will honor Ruth Goodman, MKCCC’s social worker for 17 years, and Peter Schwarz, a board member since 2013, for their invaluable support. Goodman has played a central role in advocating for families and securing essential services, while Schwarz has provided strategic guidance and leadership during challenging times.

“We invite you to join us in this celebration of local flavors, sustainability and community. This promises to be an evening to remember—a testament to community spirit, philanthropy and the transformative power of fresh food and education,” says Dawn Meyerski, executive director of MKCCC.

Location: 299 Wood Rd., Mt. Kisco. For more information or to obtain tickets, visit mkccc.org.
