Because we have finite space within the print version of the magazine, the calendar section is valuable 'real estate'. Our readers love to read the print edition and look for your events in print.

Here is an example of the calendar format for submission.

Name of the Event – Time. Then a 30-word description of what participants can expect to experience or learn. Plus, you may include details about the specific audience that this event is meant for and what benefits may be experienced. Price of event. Company, Organization or Individual hosting the event. Full address of event location. Registration information: phone and/or website.

NOTE: Our Deadline is the 8th of each month prior to publication.

·         We do not include email addresses in our calendar.

·         We reserve the right to edit calendar submissions.

·         Please write calendar listings in third person (without “you, your, we, our” words).

·         All events need to be Westchester, Putnam or Dutchess County events. For events outside of these areas, “Mark Your Calendar” Ads are available.

Natural Awakenings does not accept private session listings (for example: massages, readings, reiki sessions, one-on-one personal appointments) or specials listings as calendar listings. Calendar listings must be for group events. Display and Classified ads are available for private sessions.

We offer a specified number of Regular Print Calendar Listings “Free” to our advertising partners and distribution locations.

·         Distribution Locations receive 2 listings per month – Thank You.

·         Current Advertisers receive 3 listings per month. (+ 2 additional if also a distribution location). This amounts to a maximum of 5 free, regular print calendar listings per month for on-going advertisers who also share our magazines in their place of business.

·         Unused submissions cannot be rolled over to future months.

·         Non-Advertisers please contact us at [email protected] to learn about placing a Regular or Mark Your Calendar listing in print.

'Regular' print calendar listings are offered for a moderate fee of $20 per listing, for non-advertisers. If you are an advertiser in the magazine and want to exceed your number of “free” calendar listings, the cost is $10 per extra listing.

A 'Mark Your Calendar ' listing is HIGHLIGHTED in a green shaded box, which is more visible and draws more attention, Cost: $95 per listing, OR $75 for current advertisers.

PLEASE NOTE: If you list an event in the print calendar, where the admission price is more than $100 for someone to attend, OR if the event is located outside of our publishing area, OR if the event is happening in a future month(s), then the event listing must be upgraded to a "Mark Your Calendar' listing, for either $95 or $75.

Special Requirements for our ONGOING PRINT Calendar (Sundays, Mondays, etc)

Ongoing Calendar listings run for a minimum of 3 months and need to be resubmitted quarterly to remain in the magazine:

·         January (deadline December 8th)

·         April (deadline March 8th)

·         July (deadline June 8th)

·         October (deadline September 8th)

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Our ONLINE CALENDAR is FREE To ALL: An unlimited number of calendar events can ALSO be submitted separately for free to appear online, on our website. Just click on the CALENDAR link in the top navigation bar, then click on the green "Add Your Event" button, then create an account or access your existing account and edit your online listings directly to the website calendar. (Upgraded – Featured Online listing available for an added fee.)
