Back2Health Yoga—the
Wappingers Falls-based Iyengar studio known for its
precise alignment and therapeutic approach—is expanding its schedule to
meet diverse community needs. Starting this month, the studio will
offer new classes and series addressing specific health concerns.
“Back2Health Yoga’s upcoming specialized series offer tailored practices designed to improve overall well-being,” says Cristina
Roy, owner and certified Iyengar yoga teacher. “Rooted in the
principles of Iyengar yoga, these sessions aim to foster physical
health, mental clarity and emotional balance. Participants will develop
strength, flexibility and a deeper mind-body connection.”
The
Chairs + Ropes Series begins September 6 and will use chairs and ropes
to support and deepen practice. Classes will be held Fridays at 10:30
a.m. and are suitable for all levels, focusing on strength, balance and
flexibility. Starting October 2, 2024, the Yoga for Scoliosis Series will be
held Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. This series is designed for individuals
with scoliosis and emphasizes alignment, strength and flexibility to
help manage the condition. Launching October 11, 2024, the Healthy Spine
Series will focus on different areas each week, including the low back,
thoracic spine and neck and shoulders. The sessions aim to relieve pain
and improve posture.
Back2Health
Yoga also offers private sessions tailored for back care and scoliosis.
“Through detailed assessments and personalized instruction, private
sessions aim to enhance yoga’s therapeutic benefits, ensuring optimal
results,” says Roy.
