Carmel has a new healing practice, Chinese Reflexology, owned by the husband and wife team of Guang Zhou Sun and Heng E Ge. Both practitioners studied traditional Chinese reflexology and massage in China and New York City, with some additional training in California. The couple moved to the United States five years ago to pursue a better life and bring their traditional healing methods to this country.

Chinese Reflexology offers a soothing atmosphere, with two treatment rooms. One room, which is used for reflexology, features comfortable couches. “One or two people can receive reflexology sessions at the same time so it’s perfect for couples,” says Ge, who adds that she wants to help others live better lives and enjoy greater health through traditional Chinese methods.

The second treatment room at Chinese Reflexology is for back and neck massages, which are available at a cost of $50 for one hour and $30 for a half hour. A one-hour reflexology session costs $40, while a 30-minute treatment is available for $28. The couple is currently offering a special in which customers can pay for 10 treatments and get one for free. Chinese Reflexology is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. Appointments are recommended and walk-ins are also accepted.
