This spring 2015, Putnam Healing Arts (PHA) is launching the Golden Spiral-A, a women- and family-centered mobile spa service offering unique themes.

PHA has been serving Hudson Valley residents for almost 10 years through holistic services such as reiki, health coaching, stress reduction, hypnosis, and, in more recent years, massage therapy. Co-owners Michelle Vitner, a licensed massage therapist and licensed practical nurse, and co-owner Mag Treanor, a registered nurse, also teach community classes. “We work with children, adults and seniors to bring about relaxation and therapeutic benefits with a sense of humor and dignity,” Vitner says.

She says group mobile spa events are growing across the country, combining pampering, fun and learning. Among the themes the Golden Spiral-A will offer are “tap into your inner artist”; “exploring intuition and spirit”; “yummy yogis”; life-passage events (such as bachelorette parties, teen parties and anniversaries); women’s empowerment; and corporate and team building. The events will take place primarily in a host’s home but can also be held in work and community settings, she says. Vitner and Treanor organize guided imagery, facials, massage and other specific activities tailored to the group’s needs. “My background in social sciences and the arts, along with training in holistic methods for care of body, mind and spirit, means we offer something very different—a truly creative, uplifting experience,” Vitner says. “We create a warm and dynamic environment so everyone has fun and is comfortable.”
